Marcella's books are genuine and excellent. I own several and are family approved. This book was not her best but still expanded on what I already have,
Authentic recipes with easy to follow instructions. Always wanted recipes like my grandmother made when I was growing up. this is so close and reminds me of her...Macella is the jewel in the crown.....

I realized I didn't want to be without any of Marcella's classic cookbooks, so I ordered basically everything I could find. This is something to use and pass on to family.
Easy to follow recipes, all the basics, you will enjoy it if just starting out...........
The book is a bit over my experience level. Process and method details I don't know are presumed and not further explained. The recipes tried turned out on the oily side. Still, I'm sure it will be useful in the future if only to understand the basics of certain dishes.
