This calendar has been a tradition of mine and I have to buy one every year. This year, Amazon.com sent it to me standard shipping and with the use of an Amazon.com e-gift card balance, I received this product in 3 days from the time of order. It was mailed in a manilla packing envelope with bubble-wrap padding. It did not include the outer shipping box as it had in years before. This time, the wire-ring bound calendar came plastic wrapped. The calendar begins on Monday, December 29, 2014 to Sunday, January 3, 2016. Inside the weekly calendar are 60 new beautiful photographs of scenic nature with an informative description of each photo, location and the name of the photographer. The lettering of the months, days and numbers are big enough to read. Each entry of the day has space of about 6 inches wide X 1 inch high to write your appointments, meetings, video conferences, travel dates, hotel reservations, phone numbers, birthdays, anniversaries, brunch, luncheons and dinner reservations, Broadway theatre dates, college classes and exams and dates to pay your bills. Also make a note of your favorite tv shows, baseball and basketball games, movie and DVD releases, webcasts and podcasts. This year, they will have many Republican and Democrat debates for candidates campaigning to be the next President of the United States, so write those dates down too. You can use your calendar as a daily diary or journal. I've purchased the Audubon Engagement Calendar every year for many years. Perfect size, exquisite photos. I save my calendars which serve as diaries to remind me of events and activities throughout my life. Most important, the money I spend on the calendars goes toward the Nat'l Audubon Society, a wonderful organization whose mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.
I'm disappointed in this calendar. I've always gotten a cat calendar, but was too late this year in looking for one. The pictures in the Audubon calendar are beautiful, but the quality of the paper is very poor. It is very thin, and so glossy that when I wrote on it the ink from the pen never dried and it smeared. Also, the dates on each page are on the inside of the page near the spiral so that if you want to leaf through the book to find a particular date it's impossible; the dates should be on the outside of the page, I think. I won't be purchasing this engagement calendar again unfortunately.
