Love the Page-A-Day calendars and the gallery ones have such high quality photos. I give these as gifts each year and my friends love them.
I ordered this on December 23, 2017 expecting to receive a 2018 calendar. In my haste to order a last-minute Christmas present I suppose I inadvertently ordered 2017 instead of 2018. But I can't help but wonder why the 2017 calendar even still be available a week before the end of the year, anyway. Why not just remove it from inventory after 10 months? I would think it would reduce the chance of confusion...Sheepishly, I made it even worse by reordering it again in January 2018, only because my wife (the recipient of the gift) thought that she had accidentally thrown out the wrong year after a day or two. She asked me to reorder it again, and I simply clicked the reorder button on the original confirmation email, doubling-down on the mistake. Old saying: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. So, shame on me.
We buy this every year because it's the only larger page-a-day, upright calendar with pups. Not crazy about many of the pics but that goes to preference. Main complaint is that there is a quote or information on each page that is not reader-friendly and doesn't always tell you what kind of dog is in the photo (i.e. if mixed breed, say mixed breed; if purebred, say what it is), but again that's a preference thing. Also it's pricey for what you get. Wish they had some competition.
This is a quality dog picture calendar. The other calendar I've been buying for years has gotten carried away with "cutesy" pictures of dogs being miserably dressed up in ridiculous garb. I just wanted a straight forward no nonsense dog picture calendar.
I've purchased these calendars for Christmas for friends and for myself for at least 7 years. They were perfect...nice thick glossy paper made them special. The manufacturer Workman Publishing downgraded the paper this year. The paper is thin and matte not glossy so the photos don't jump off the page like they used to. PLEASE go back to the better paper. I may not buy them next year.
I've either ordered one of these calendars (or, the cat version) from Amazon or found one locally for maybe 7-8 years now. They're such a great addition to my office at work. People always comment on "today's dog". Much higher quality than the average desk calendar where you tear each day off.
I love these Page-A-Day gallery calendars...I buy many of them annually for birthday and Christmas gifts for friends who enjoy them so much. I have purchased Dog, Cat, Horse, Bird and Flower versions... All beautiful daily pictures. A year full of fun and beauty and a wonderful gift besides!
I've been buying this page-a-day calendar for a number of years now; the photos are very nice. I have it at work and look forward to having the new dog picture to look at each day.
