Everyone's experience is different. I would say that 90% of this book is correct, these are things that can and will happen to you if you don't make wise choices. Pay very close attention to lease program. I bought this book looking for a good read I've been in business of driving 14 years now. I have made more money in this business than I ever thought I would but didn't make the mistakes listed in the book. I got luckily, you may not so buy the the book.
Interested in the trucking industry i bought this book open minded. After reading it it opened my eyes to potential considerations prior to choosing my possible next career path. Great book with examples and detailed. Loved it actually...read it off and on about an hour a day for 3 days until i finished it. Easy to follow. Good writer.
I have not driven in over 30 years. I am faced with a career change after 24 years in a technology industry. Even though I have a CDL already, this was a good overview about the industry in this day and age. It seems that there are even pitfalls with local routes so choices have to be made at every turn. A good read for me.
Good basic knowledge of the trucking industry. I wish I had of known about this book before I went to truck driving school and began my career in trucking, I would not build my expectations so high and would not have been so disappointed with the reality of the trucking industry.
