I have a Traeger smoker and oftnetimes find myself surfing the internet to find good rubs, marinades to use. I honestly came by this book by accident. I'm glad I did.The author goes to great lengths to share his own experience and what works, not works with his recipes. One of the things he stresses throughout is: "make it your own," if you wish. In other words, use some of the items he included along with your own to come up with an improved, personalized rub or marinade to use.I love the various recipes he included and will be tempting my wife, family, and friends!PROS: Variety of recipes broken down in categoriesCONS: None noted

I absolutely love this book!!! There are soooo many brines, marinades, injections, rubs/glazes to use there are really no limits as to how to use these recipes/they are very easily altered to add your own twist/make them your own style. I use these recipes with my Beast Injector which is commercial grade stainless steel that has a lifetime warranty that I ordered from Grill Beast. They are the perfect pair to use together. I am so please to have ordered both together. I read the reviews on both products/I am so glad I did as I made a wise investment/am now making money using these products when I grill or smoke different meats for customers/they love the flavor of the meat comes out perfect everytime. This would make the perfect Bday gift, or Xmas present for that special someone, or family member or friend. I will have to search around to see if there are any other books by this Author or by even a different author in order for me to be well rounded with my cooking techniques to keep my customers coming back . Thanks Ray "Dr. BBQ" Lampe for sharing your many recipes you are awesome/very good at what you do for sure. I would order from this company again/may be ordering more of this Flavorize books to give out as gifts.

This was a gift for my son-in-law who loves to BBQ and try new things. He said he tried two of the rubs and found them perfect. He didn't have to alter the recipe He's anxious to try the marinades once the weather warms up. I am very tempted to borrow the book and try some myself . The packaging it was delivered in was perfect for this book.

First and foremost, the recipes are SCALED!!! HOLY SH$&!!!! An American publisher finally got a clue, or a writer a backbone - either way, THANK YOU!! I have actually sworn off buying cookbooks b/c I was tired of spending $20+ for ideas and then having to scale them out too!To content, nice pics, well laid out and the recipes have been quite good so far.

My husband and I just purchased a Big Green Egg and this book has now become our BBQ Bible. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to enhance the flavors of any type of food. Thank you Dr BBQ for this cookbook.

For any cook, this book will enable you to quit buying unhealthy sauces and marinades at the store, while adding great depth of flavor to your food. I rate it even better than expected. Have tried several of the recipes and ideas and have not been disappointed once. Plan to order for each of our children's households.

Shows many mixtures containing ingredients most of us would not think about. Some meats and vegetables are meant to be eaten with only their natural flave I have to admit that at time it is a pleasure to tweak nature every once in a while. This book is a great source of tweaks.
